Your Sanibel Public Library card just got even more valuable! The Library now offers passes to Edison Ford Winter Estates and the IMAG History & Science Center.
The IMAG History & Science Center is a unique family-friendly destination in Fort Myers featuring aquariums and animal exhibits; interactive displays, activities, and innovative programs to inspire imagination. One borrowed SPL pass provides entry for a family.
Edison Ford Winter Estates: Take an inspiring journey back in time with a visit to the winter homes of inventor, Thomas Edison, and his friend – automobile magnate, Henry Ford. One borrowed pass provides entry for one adult and one child to Edison & Ford Winter Estates (EFWE) for a self-guided tour. Passes may be checked out for one week using a current Sanibel Public Library card. You can borrow one EFWE pass per Library card. Call the Library or go online to place a hold for a pass.
If you would like to listen to audio content during the EFWE tour, download the free Edison Ford app. Visitors may also access audio content by dialing a phone number while on site. Audio content covers the homes and gardens, and takes approximately 60 minutes. Using the Library pass for admission, you can upgrade to a guided tour of the Estates for $5 – purchase at EFWE ticket booth.
Borrow a birdwatching kit from the Sanibel Public Library (choose the kit for adults or children) to bring a pair of binoculars to Winter Estates visit! Edison Ford Winter Estates and IMAG History & Science Center are located in Fort Myers. Your Sanibel Public Library card can also be used to borrow a pass to C’MON Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples.

Sanibel Public Library cards are available to all residents of Sanibel and Lee County, Florida, at no charge. You must present your valid driver’s license (or similar government ID) to staff, showing your current Lee County address. Visitor cards are available for a $10 fee and are good for one year.
