Limited Services Available: Sanibel Public Library Temporary Building Closure
Sanibel Public Library has announced an immediate closure of the building to the public, with plans to reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022.
The temporary closure is due to COVID exposure to staff. “Out of concern for staff and public we are conducting a deep sanitizing, and need to temporarily close the facility for public use. The Library facility is physically closed for now, but open for digital borrowing,” said Library Executive Director Margaret Mohundro.
All user fees have been waived during the closure, there will be no overdue fines assessed.
The Author Series and other programs scheduled for this week are being postponed. Watch the Library’s website, local newspapers, and social media for updates.
Library staff will continue email support to the public. The eShelf and all online services remain available 24/7. To access the Library’s online services, click here: eShelf. Your PIN is the last four digits of your Library card.
The Library’s public WiFi works outside of the building for most devices, in the parking lot areas.
