Ready to read that new bestseller? Place a hold and you will be notified when the book, DVD (or other item) is in.
To Place A Hold (Request an Item):
Call the Library at (239) 472-2483 or go online to request a book, DVD or Kit.
After you have placed your hold, wait for Sanibel Public Library to contact you – either through email or a phone call.
Once you have been notified that your hold is ready, present your Library card to staff at the East (Main) Service Desk to pick up your items. For your browsing pleasure, please check out (pun intended) the various and changing book displays. Sanibel Public Library welcomes your book suggestions or items to add to the collection.
All hold(s) should be picked up within three business days. If you are unable to pick up your hold(s), please let staff know ASAP. Call the Library at 239-472-2483, or email email@example.com.
Returning your items, inside or Book Drops:
Please return all Library materials inside at the service desks, or at the book drop located at the West Entrance; or the drive-up book drop near the exit of the parking garage.
If you can’t find what you need in the Sanibel Public Library catalog:
You’ve searched for that book, DVD or audiobook in the SPL’s catalog, and you don’t see what you’re looking for. Watch this video (below), “How to Request an Interlibrary Loan“ or contact the SPL staff for help!
