The interior design palette of the YLR project is inspired by the natural surroundings of the island. The flooring materials incorporate layers of varying blues at the shoreline as well as textures representing water transitioning to the tonal sand and shells along the beach. On the exterior: Crews are building the elevator shaft, as larger windows are being installed. The other part of the Library is open – providing space to use computers, find books, children’s programs, and more.
